Neural blocks have been developed as treatment option of chronic low back pain for more than three decades. It may be considered an effective, safe and feasible treatment when conservative treatment is not effective. It is usually done with the guide of a C-arm radiographic image intensifier and response from the patient and the contrast dye confirmation, mixture of steroid and local anesthetics are injected into the appropriate targets. When carefully done in selected cases, side effects are uncommon and when present, they are mostly transient without persistent or permanent complications. We describe three cases of persistent hiccup as consequences of neural blocks in patients with chronic back pain.
